Why is revolutionary discovery? Why is there still skepticism about?

There are many curiosities around the Cloud for some years. However, the answers to these questions are exhaustive and fairly reliable. Vmengine.net have tried to think about and respond in the most accurate and correct way possible.

What kind of need arises from this efficient business model? Why there is some skepticism about it?
Obviously, Cloud Computing originates from a problem. The original problem is information technology that today is a cost. Any kind of company has to do with an IT infrastructure, whether it is lounge bar or an American multinational.

An enterprise, even small, for any reason, has an unexpected success (for example a big customer contact them or web site becomes popular because a newspaper is talking about) and for this reason is necessary that the infrastructure is “scalable”, avoiding risk of losing opportunities or customers. The company’s success can not be expressed because the infrastructure doesn’t support the expansion and increase of capabilities. That’s why cloud computing is a revolutionary discovery.

And what about the paternity of this important invention?
First people to mention Cloud Computing was Uncle John McCarthy, a US computer-based father of artificial intelligence that in 1961 at MIT’s centenary said that the time-sharing method could lead to a future where the power of computers and applications could be sold according to the economic utility model, such as water and electricity.

According to Wikipedia, largest virtual encyclopedia, the invention of cloud computing is attributed to Joseph Carl Robnett Licklider, who created in 1960 a project called ARPANET to connect people and data from anywhere and anytime.

In Italy, in academic sphere, cloud computing paternity is attributed to Agostino Sibillo, considered by American universities the hundred most important inventors of 21st century, as well as candidate for Nobel Prize for Economics. His latest creature (he has more than 62 patents licensed to 95 percent of IT companies worldwide) is called Spychatter, a recently launched app in US that allows to hide within Internet file, data or information network. On a world map, user may decide to move files and archives to an address without anyone intercepting it. From calculations made by the programmer, if someone decides to probe the map up to retrieve data it would take 862 years of attempts.

Who belongs Cloud inventio it’s not important like understand the skepticism that gravitates to this performing business model. Privacy protection is the largest step.

“The problem with Cloud Computing is not the privacy protection, the real problem is represented by Big Data. That’s why you need to think about privacy as a legal asset”.

These are words of Agostino Sibillo during his lectio at the “Pegasus” telematic university titled “Cloud Computing: technical problems and legal perspectives”.
There are currently no rules for protection of personal data linked to Cloud Computing. In Italy, the Guarantor of Privacy has spoken in this regard without providing useful solutions, other than “paying attention”.

What does Cloud Computing originate and who is given its paternity?
